If you are already a member of Linlithgow Union Canal Society (LUCS), or are considering membership, come along to the canal basin on a Saturday morning to discuss becoming a volunteer with one of our already active members. Even if you can only spare a few hours during the ‘open’ season (Easter to the end of September) you will be made very welcome. There are a range of different volunteering tasks that you can choose from, including –
- Serve in the Tearoom which is a very pleasant and warm environment
- Museum duties where you sell boat trip tickets and talk to visitors about the objects on display (no previous knowledge is necessary)
- Work on the maintenance of the premises, facilities and boats
- Become a boat driver or act as crew for the drivers.
